| About Me: |
I have worn many hats. I'm highly educated with a masters in communication. I have over 20 years in marketing (some part/some full time) and I was a professor/department chair at a regional university for 17 years. Along the way I've also been a radio personality, was part of the local TV news program, and a newspaper editor, writer, photographer and sold the ads in my spare time. Since nearly checking out due to illness three years ago, I'm even more modivated to accomplish a number of things before I leave the scene. I'm helping to expand a regional non-profit childhood health education program and I'm doing what I can to help my granddaughter who has cerebral palsy. I've had a golf tournament for 25 years which helps provide a few funds for her very expensive care. In my 'real life' I'm now the marketing director for Pink Lady America which is a grower-supported assoication in Washington State which promotes what is the first apple with a trademark. I work out of the basement of the home in which I grew up. Yes, you can go home again and have a great time doing it! |

| About My Business: |
In addition to my position as marketing director at Pink Lady America LLC where I'm building the trademark for this relatively new apple, I'm very busy on the side in a number of areas. I'm highly modivated to create a more attractive situation for my coming years in retirement but most of all I'd like to contribute to the care of my three year granddaughter who has cerebral palsy. My daughter and her husband are facing bills totally at least a million dollars over the next 20 years in order to pay for medical costs and to provide a number of 'quality of life' items. In this regard I'm involved in the following through Taylor Ann Enterprises LLC: ~~'We Believe In You(TM)' is a customer appreciation program specifically designed to easily enable a business or association to tell its customers/members how much they are valued. Using a high-profile symbol based on apple imagery, this program comes at just the right time as it provides a dramatic avenue to let them know there are much better days ahead. ~~'Apple On The Go(TM)' is a medium size single fresh apple in a biodegradable package. It comes as a standard apple, organic, or containing the very popular JAZZ(R) apple. In all, this product is fresh, healthful, natural and 'green.' Would be perfect for many foodservice outlets and schools be it for snacks, lunch, or in a vending machine. (please see www.appleonthego.org) ~~'Passport to Health(R)' is an established children's health education program. In this time of rapidly increasing childhood obesity and the H1N1 flu, this program is addressing some extremely important issues. My involvement has to do with the generation of funding and sponsorships. (please see www.yakimamemorial.org/services-passport.html) Please contact me for further information. Alan |
