My name is Leif Christoffersen, and I am the CEO of Malama Composites. Prior to joining Malama Composites I was one of three founding partners that launched and ran a renewable energy consulting firm working with companies engaged in biofuels (algae to biofuels, and algae to specialty chemicals), biomass to energy, waste-to-energy, new materials company (natural latex and rubber from the guayule plant), electric vehicles, fast charging technology, and wind energy. Prior to launching that company I was part of the founding team to establish the EO Wilson Biodiversity Foundation. For the previous 10 plus years I worked in a field called bioprospecting, which involves the discovery valuable chemical compounds found in nature. During the second half of this period, the Diversa Corporation hired me to manage and lead their bioprospecing activities. |
