This is the Personal Profile for Branded J The year is 2002, while standing in a makeup trailer at 2:00 am in the morning waiting for the camera to go up, I heard a whisper, a word; "What do you think happens to animals when they make a makeup brush". As I looked around the trailer to see if anyone else had heard this, I asked one of the girls standing next to me, the question. Her answer to me was, I think they shave them? My answer was, I have been a Hair and Makeup Artist for 28 years in the Film and Beauty Industry, I knew without a doubt at that moment, that a fire of passion to find the Truth was set ... Once I found the Truth, I was SHOCKED beyond words, to the answer to that question. Instead of complaining about it, I did something about it... 2004 I started Branded J Collections, LLC a Cruelty Free company with a mission to create awareness of the alternatives available in the Cosmetic Industry. As I continued my research finding the right companies to help launch this mission, I found that the pathway is very narrow. Due to the tremendous wealth in the Cosmetic and Fur Farming Industry, money is the driving force that I would come up against. I have wondered many times in my life WHY did I choose this career. But my years of education and opportunities, that the Film/Beauty Industry has allowed me, has given me great experience and research as my roots. This foundation has come full circle, and has given me treasures that I can now give back to the next generation. I take great pride and integrity in launching this company and mission. The tools of my trade have caused much harm to many that have no voice, and it is so not necessary any longer. Branded J has taken an old idea, and perfected the process of the fiber TAKLON, it is the most Versatile, Durable and Softest fiber on the market. It is not only better for our Health, but best of all, it's Cruelty Free. PJ, I am totally, completely in awe of you!!! I spend a good portion of my time and resources promoting pet rescue, fighting animal cruelty, and public awareness of both.
