The opportunities include but not limited to, dancers, actors, musicians, comedians, studio production, workshops, and seminars. PGPDN has a vision of going nationwide and paving the way for people in surrounding communities to showcase their talents through its productions. Industry: Television is an industry in which there is always room to grow. PGPDN knows there's a nationwide market for television series and movies. Technology has made TVs thinner, smaller, and/or of higher quality. If consumers are not watching television, then TV sets would not be advancing in technology, and cell phones companies would not enhance ways to watch series or movies on a phone. There are products for satellite TV in addition to the DVD players in automobiles. Television and entertainment is always in high demand. PGPDN is committed in taking advantage of consumers who watches television. PGPDN will target different communities with its productions providing quality entertainment. Market Target: PGPDN targets communities of all demographics. PGPDN cater to those of ages 10 and up. They are reached through the Bewick and Mack sitcom, plays, and advertisements through flyers, word of mouth, newspaper articles, internet, TV interviews and radio broadcasts. The industry of syndicated shows and movies are growing. In the communities PGPDN target, Tyler Perry has become a major hit and consumers has flocked to his television series, plays and movies. The people has indicated this is the type of work they enjoy watching and Dykema believes PGPDN can capitalize on the market. She believes with the success she has already received, the reputation she has built locally, and dealings with others in higher levels of entertainment, she will have an overwhelming support from her neighboring cities and states. Strengths and core competencies: PGPDN has dedicated actors, musicians, comedians, and studio production members to help it achieve national attention. PGPDN also has the equipment and software needed to produce such arts of work. Advertising its productions through its marketing strategy helps PGPDN reach people who are tune in to that particular location. PGPDN is currently working on the finalization of a web TV, which will broadcast her works of art on the internet; which will be able to reach millions worldwide. PGPDN has a strong desire to reach as many people as possible. PGPDN currently has the sitcom “Bewick and Mack” playing on over 30 communities in Significant challenges: PGPDN needs to be able to produce national quality productions and those opportunities are arising. PGPDN has a challenge of keeping staff members working in-kind and being able to purchase a studio location; and new equipment to ensure the quality of its production stays at a national level. PGPDN has been able to fund these challenges to date by receiving sponsorships, and in-kind work from supporting communities, businesses, and schools. PGPDN makes a profit off its plays and products and re-invest it back into the company. Dykema has been personally financing PGPDN for nearly the last 15 years. PGPDN can not always guarantee that these challenges will be met. PGPDN want to ensure that these challenges are always met; therefore PGPDN is requesting new capital. New Capital: PGPDN has access to low-cost t-shirts, DVD productions, and venues for the plays that are produced every year. With new capital, PGPDN will be able to buy and produce more products and services that will generate more than a 25% return on investment on plays and 30% return on other products. PGPDN will also be able to pay the staff that has been dedicated and working in-kind to ensure their continued commitments. Long term: PGPDN long term goal is to have national television series and produce plays in communities; providing locals with the chance to showcase their talents and produce movies that are made for the theaters. PGPDN plans to grow by using the data supplied by Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). SEMCOG enables PGPDN to see the population growth change by county and communities for Strategies: PGPDN is prepared to syndicate the sitcom “Bewick and Mack” and bring it to a national level. By next winter, PGPDN, plans to have a major network pick up its sitcom “Bewick and Mack”. PGPDN plans to market it productions to target markets by use of its marketing and sales strategy. PGPDN plans to capitalize on all of the opportunities that are arising. To help with the increases of productions, PGPDN has enlisted the help of several local producers and internet professionals. |
