This is the Personal Profile for FAIRTRADE SHOPPING NETWORK, LLC This new business is the result of 5 teachers with a vison to promote the sales of FAIRTRADE products from all over the world, which in essence improves the economic base for people in third world countries. By using fairtrade products (coffee, chocolate, clothing, jewelry, arts & crafts, body and health care items, furniture, rugs, and more!), we can help others to help themselves. Just since December 2007, we collaborated with a supplier to handle all the S&H, have produced a fully formatted TV show, became an LLC in March, started our a new ecommerce site and got registerd with the D&B. We are now ready to take this paid programming TV show (a cross between the Discovery Channel and QVC) and put it on the air. Funding needed to do this will be around $75,000-$100,000. Gross revs projected for the risk capital is in the low millions. By conservative figures, it is estimated that even with a .25% (less than 1%), DRR, our gross revs would still be approx. 1.2-1.5 million in less than 5-6 mos if we only air in 1-3 markets. If we up the ante and air in 10-12 markets, then we could, by exponential factoring, project 12-15 million (dollars) in 5-6 mos. These figures are doable, just based on similar paid programming shows in the right markets, right time slots and some publicity. And, publicity is easy, since this is a very interesting "human interest" business. I have already been interviewed free of charge, for a 5.5 min. segment on "FOCUS ATLANTA". NPR and WTBS, as well as WXIA , all in metro-Atlanta, have discussed the possibility of having me on their respective morning show, for an interview regarding this "new" concept.
