The "Extreme Dream Queen" - Coach. Speaker. Radio Host
World traveler who believes at stop at nothing to keep living life seriously full volume. Current stop: Kuwait. Prior stop: Luanda, Angola, Africa. Next stop: Nepal to celebrate upcoming birthday in May. Stop after that? Who knows?!?!?Orginally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Laurie was a good girl who did as her parents said and got her BS and MS; one in Anthropology, the other in Law and Justice. After working as a US Parole Officer for many years and not feeling happy, she accidentally discovered Life Coaching and got certified. Her practice was part-time for a long time but going through the Business School of Hard Knocks has paid off in oh-so many ways as Laurie is always willing to share what worked for her and what hasn't with her precious coaching clients and in her extremely hilarious and no-bones-about-'em workshops and seminars. A lover of life, a child at heart, Laurie misses the love of her life, Dandelion, a little mutt she found in the streets of Oakland five years ago but who is safe in the hands of her rockin' folks who play ball with her everday in their new backyard. Though Laurie is traveling the world (because this is her Extreme Dream...she firmly believes in being a model for her clients and walking her talk!), she still coaches using the fabulous tool of Skype, conducts her weekly radio show, Extreme Dream Radio, and blogs about her adventures abroad as Expat Chick. In 2002, I started my first coaching practice, Coaching in Motion but have since renamed that company, Extreme Dream Training and Coaching. While I've been coaching individuals ever since, my passion lies with speaking and coaching from the stage. I am also truly dedicated to helping small businesses and organizations communicate more effectively among their teams as well as help create positive, healthy work environments. Through group and individual employee coaching, I get companies living out their vision, thus creating more cohesiveness among staff and administration. |
