About Joshua Levinberg:

Joshua Levinberg is a well-known Israeli entrepreneur who has played a major role in the success of many hi-tech businesses throughout the world. Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, he helped create numerous profitable companies and remains a board member of many of those firms. Through his investment and management firm, JAL Ventures Ltd., he not only invests in companies with significant potential, he also works with them and offers expert advice along the way.
JAL Ventures was founded by Joshua Levinberg and his brother, Amiram Levinberg in 2003. This investment and management firm provides funding for businesses in varied categories, including bio-technology, wireless technology, telecommunications, electronics, appliances and life sciences.
Investments
Vanadium Software Ltd. is one of the companies that has benefited from JAL investments. The company’s product is a solution it developed to compare real-time status of information technology with that of the organization’s stated policy. In this way, the product helps the company by providing a precise way to control and manage its IT activities.
Matan Digital Printers is another invested company, and Joshua Levinberg serves as one of its board members. The company provides environmentally friendly products for the digital printing industry.
Agropeace Bio Ltd. provides the oils extracted from African castor seeds to the bio-diesel industry. Joshua Levinberg is a co-founder of Agropeace Bio and was also its Chairman of the Board
Other firms that were the recipients of investment from JAL Ventures include ERAYO, Kasamba, CI Industries, Xsight Systems, Capital Point and DenTack.
Early Business
In 1987 Joshua Levinberg joined four other partners and founded Gilat Satellite Networks, which offers digital satellite communications solutions. Joshua established Gilat’s presence in the US and since 2005 he has served as Executive VP of Corporate Business Strategy. Recently he took over the position of Senior Advisor for Business Development and Corporate Strategy.
From 1998-1999 Levinberg was CEO of Global Village Telecom, a firm that he also founded. He served as VP of Marketing at G.E. Spacenet and was the first Board Chairman at Satlynx S.A.
The Tel Aviv University hosted the MIT Enterprise Forum in June 2010, and Joshua Levinberg spoke about the ways that Gilat is involved in the local Brazilian market. As the largest nation in all of Latin America and with a population of 192 million, Gilat has found numerous avenues to both help the locals with their telecommunications needs and build an important business base in that country.
