Having developed a cutting edge technology to provide disruptive changes to the $7.5 billion cellular phone market, the $4.5 billion mobile backhaul market, and the smaller $60-75 million (but very near term revenue) broadcast video transport market, Vubiq is well-positioned as a leader in the emerging 60 GHz technology field. 

The strong appeal of the 60 GHz band can be summed up in one word:  bandwidth. With 7 to 9 GHz of spectrum globally allocated as unlicensed, the theoretical rates for sending data across wireless links at 60 GHz exceed those of lower frequencies (e.g., Wi-Fi, UWB) by orders of magnitude.

Vubiq has developed low cost, production-ready, fully integrated radios that allow for multi-gigabit wireless data rates. These radios can be applied to both communications and radar solutions in a very cost-effective manner.  Furthermore, with their tiny footprint and very low power consumption requirements, Vubiq's radios are uniquely positioned to be embedded into portable electronics (e.g., mobile phones, camcorders and digital cameras, laptops, etc.) to enable near-instantaneous file transfer -- entire full length high definition movies can be transmitted from one device to another in 10-15 seconds.  This would take roughly 30 minutes over a standard Wi-Fi connection.
