Although I grew up in the heart of the internet (Fairfax, VA), I was not exposed to its power until I attended university thousands of miles away. Today, I am hooked on internet related technologies. Data colleciton, information sharing, and web services have revolutioned business. I like to think of pixels as the dirt of the internet real estate market. Unlike land, pixels are never ending! Unlike investing in an apartment complex in Somewhere, Utah, my services can be rented or used by someone in China. I have worked in the software industry for the last eight years. I am a special breed in that I can get techy and that I can communicate effectively with end users. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in English, a minor in Political Science. My original goal was to change the world as a politician. Today, I just want to influence the world via advanced techologies and to gain a voice backed by the power of personal net worth. |

Remember Tree is a social networking site dedicated to the posting of stories, videos, photos, and other media about and of our deceased loved ones. This is the foundation of the site, but it doesn't end there. Users will have standard options to create pedigrees, to link with members in their tree, and to locate burial plots all around the world. This is standard fare for the industry we're looking to break wide open. We expand upon the idea with digital photos of headstones that will aid the family history worker in obtaining vital record information. Remember Tree is robust and is capable of generating revenue through partnerships with mortuaries and cemeteries, with wealth and death planners, with florists, with advertisers, etc For example, Remember Tree will provide users in Fairfax, VA the ablity to pay special tribute to a loved one by scheduling the delivery of a floral arrangement to a burial plot in Carmel, CA. Users who initially enter the site to post and share about their loved ones will find options for selecting their own burial plot with optional add-ons (Ex., Vaults), for creating a Living Will and Living Trust, for obtaining adequate life insurance, for selecting a casket, and for making funeral arrangements. Remember Tree will direct the user to a partner in one of these fields, in their local area. General information will be provided to educate the user. How many of us understand the need for an advance directive or POLST? Where do baby boomers go to find information on Social Security Survivor benefits, or on Veterans Administration benefits? Remember Tree brings most everything the user needs to know together to feel confident that their ducks are in a row. |
