• shirley_is                 custom art ~ what you want, how you want it                                       I am literally trying to build my empire with nothing but an idea and a will to take a step to go at it and keep my goals realistic.  I have many interests.   My first love is art.  I create through watercolors, pencil and/or ink, and digital graphics, surrealistic abstract impressions relative to spiritually planular "enlightenments".  I also  creatively express through leathercrafting, beading, sewing and micro-sculpting (nothing larger than 1 cu in).   In the past, I've only marketed my works when someone expresses the desire to possess it, or if something was custom requested.   My projects are large and timely so I've been working at a way to make them less time consuming in detail and more concise (yet not lose the impact) and more practical to appeal to the general public monetarily.  Recent changes have driven me closer to the goal of working with my arts.  I've developed my own blog at  http://shirleyis.blogspot.com/ in which I feature some of my art from my Sketchbook. Most of the pieces featured are available as limited edition pencil signed and numbered giclee prints.  I enjoy being a freelance artist because it offers me diversity in expression with various media.  Since high school, I've been granted the opportunity to provide the art for many different projects including - program covers,cover art for publications of creative writing compilations, company logos, acetate overlays for logos I've been asked to update to replace out-dated and therefore ineffective logos to be used by companies for promotional display on various items (hats, jackets, matchbook covers, products, etc.).  I'm very versatile with styles, and have a knack for envisioning what you'd like to see.  If you can think it, I can relate it to an image to pass on your vision.  If you can't think it, I have ideas, and, with a little nudging, can get right on your track.  I have my own unique style, however, emulating a style you have in mind is not a problem.     custom art ~ what you want, how you want it 
• I'm a believer in diversity, so in staying with that, I'm developing multiple sources of incomes.  I'm also studying investments (real estate, stocks, fine art...etc) so when I can get up at least a little capital to invest on a trial level before I can be seriously confident and knowledgeable enough to operate with "OPM".

http://shirleyis.blogspot.com/  I have some art available from my sketchbook that I offer for sale on my website.  It's a small sampling of works I do, but is available if you "gotta have it".  Some customers just like to pick from what's available.  Some customers see my art and their imagination starts ticking resulting in a desire for something more customized to their needs.  I've not encountered any doubt that I could come up with what they're looking for.  I've even done portraits, given a small 2"x3" picture to work with and requesed to put other attire on the subject I was to portray and asked to make them at a different age (usually younger).  I'll produce a "final" only after approval on custom orders.  I'm very versatile with style, and have a knack for envisioning what you'd like to see.  If you can think it, I can relate it to an image to pass on your vision.  If you can't think it, I have ideas, and, with a little fine tuning, can get it down to what you're seeking.  I have my own unique style, however, emulating a style you have in mind is not a problem.

Like I said in my personal profie, I like the concept of having multiple sources of income.  I've put together my  website to market my arts and crafts.  I'm still in the process of creating more graphics for that site.  I'm still trying to  gather samples of the various media to offer.  I found a website that allows artisans to post their art to market on a consignment basis, when your art sells, they take a percentage.  Checking back with them recently, they now charge to be a member to utilize their site.  I do have one more place I have to check on to verify that they'll  still take consignment art.  My goal is to display enough diversity to hold anyone's interest, go to http://shirleyis.blogspot.com/ , add it to your favorites if it interests you and check back every once in a while to view my updates.

I'm currently also trying to study investments - real estate, stock, and collectibles (fine art,antiques, jewelry, etc.). That goal will see fruition as the capital grows.  As for the real estate, of course, there's good profit to be made in real estate, however, along with turning properties for that final lump sum, I'd also like to be able to possibly find tax liened properties with possibilities of the owner wanting to save his/her land ... depending on their circumstances, I could possibly work something out with them.

I also have a bunch of paperwork I haven't delved into yet, but as time permits, it will allow me to enable businesses with overstock or who are closing out inventory to unload their burden of liquidating on me as I have a financier who will be glad to "cash out" their inventory.
