I am a woman who teaches others how to teach kids to read! What's the most important thing kids learn to do in school? READ! I left the safety and security of public classrooms and school district contracts to pursue something better for the greater good; to catch EVERY child who is a falling reader. I'm a mother of 3 grown kids, a new grandmother, university instructor, author of 3 books, speaker, consultant, yoga instructor, and lover of life and living! I am an entrepreneur in a field where entrepreneurship is pursued only by a chosen few. I have only just begun to 'rock the world' in pursuit of literacy for all children around the globe. |

When we empower children to read, write, and think during the early years, we empower them for life! Becoming literate is not easy for many children and it certainly isn't 'fun' until they feel successful. My mission is to "catch them all" by providing educational workshops, literacy events, and useful materials for teachers and parents around the world. When we get children on the right track to literacy independence, we save them from a lifetime of frustration, low self-esteem, and hardship. One of my students said it best when she handed me a small note on which she wrote, "Thank you, Mrs. Hebert. NOW, I can read!" |
